Gimme! Coffee

Gimme! Coffee began as an espresso bar in Ithaca, New York's Fall Creek neighborhood in 2000, with a small-batch roastery opening the following year—right at the dawn of the third-wave specialty coffee movement.

Twenty years later, Gimme's employees began buying the business from its founder, and in 2022 it was re-established as Gimme Coffee Cooperative, now one of the largest worker-owned companies in the coffee industry. A two-time Good Food Award winner and Roast Magazine's 2013 Roaster of the Year, Gimme sources through Fair Trade and Direct Trade principles, guarantees a living wage to all employees, and donates 3% of coffee sales to local nonprofits.
